Søndag Søund brings, on Sundays, artists and songs somehow related to Pagan traditions, to Wicca, to Witchcraft, and to Magic.
This post is about Trismegistia, a musical project from Brazil, created here by Santuário Lunar, which aims to offer songs for the mind and for the soul.
Trismegistia was born by chance. Just after Daniel Faria e Jesse Guelfi finished shooting Nunnos (Short Film), dedicated to the Celtic God Cernunnos, the need for a soundtrack for the video was present. After a very broad search of songs, none of them proved compatible with the mood of the short film. The background music, originally created only for the short film, was then composed by Daniel and pleased all the people who watched it before being available on YouTube.
Hence came the idea: why not turn this track into a song? And why not make this song part of something bigger? And so Trismegistia came into existence.
The name may seem complicated to some, but it has everything to do with its creation. Its origin is related to the Egyptian Hermes Trismegistus, the author of the Esmeralda Table, the Thrice Great. Trismegistus is considered the father of Alquimia and the process of creating Trismegistia was basically alchemical.
Trismegistia is currently preparing its first album. The songs are and will always be dedicated to magic, to witchcraft, to the Goddesses, to the Gods, to the nature and etc. The first single was Nunnos’ Healing Song, with Jesse’s voice, which was dedicated to the God of the Forests and Fertility, Cernunnos. It is a song for relaxation and meditation. On August 13, the second single was dedicated to the Witch Queen: Goddess Hekate: Hounds of Hekate. Hounds of Hekate Is more intense and invites the listener to follow the Goddess as she guides them.
Among Trismegistia’s main inspirations are: Enigma, Deep Forest, Clannad e Delerium.
Since the release of Nunnos’ Healing Song in February 2017 until the moment of this post (August 20, 2017), the song was among the 13 most played from the United Pagan Radio, debuting in #5 and reaching #3!
